On Dec 21, 2011:
I asked Asmund what Wystan was doing in the other room. This, he said, and waddle-walked around like one-year-old Wystan does.
On Dec 27, 2011:
It's sinking in! The other day Wystan started hitting Asmund on the head with a puzzle box. Asmund calmly took it away from him saying "No, no Baby. Hurt". He tapped him on the head with the box as he said it, then put it on the floor behind him and they both went on to play together peacefully. *sigh of relief

Be careful of what you say!
It's true! When Asmund began taking apart his puzzles, he starting saying something in a growl. "What was that?" I asked. After the third time he said it, I realized he was saying, "Gaw dang!" Growling. Now I can ask, "What does Daddy say?"

Why nursing?
Carrie reports:
Yesterday I decided to ask my semi verbal three year old why he likes to nurse so much. He gave me a sort of "how could you have missed this" look and simply said, "Mama."
Oh, cause it's Mama. :)

Whose room is this?
Asmund picked our bedroom when looking for a place to put together the puzzle of the US after Wystan wanted to chew on the pieces.
I asked, "Whose room is that?"
"Mommy's!" Asmund said.
"Where's Daddy's?"
He pointed at the hall closet.
"Really?" I asked.
He pointed out the fact that my clothes were in it.

Almost three, Asmund is truly starting to communicate
This just in via text from Carrie:
"Asmund just informed me that he didn't want me to do the dishes and that he would do them for me. I asked how he would do them. "Hands," he said!
He also told me that baby would help."
Even though we use Wystan's name, Asmund still refers to him as "Baby" and to himself as "you."
Also, Wystan is beginning to walk! His first twelve stpes were on Halloween.
